Dear Au Pair girl, we are a separated happy couple with good moral backing, a normal lifestyle and a lovely red haired 5 year old girl Lisa.
We live on the little, green, touristic island of Elba/Italy (a beach/sea and nature lover's paradise) and we are looking for an au pair girl to look after and play with Lisa in the spring and summer period while both parents are busy working for the tourist season from March 2010 until the end of September.
A little cooking and some light housework and shopping might also be required every now and again.
No babysitting at night will be required.
We offer independent accomodation in your own detached, fully restored ex-stable next to the father's farmhouse, in an isolated, rural area of the island, in the countryside, up on the hills of the island, with a view of the sea, 5 Km to the nearest seaside town, 5 Km to where the mother lives with Lisa and 5 Km to the nearest beach.
We also offer all our food, a friendly and easygoing atmosphere, free unlimited use of internet (you can also bring your wi-fi equipped laptop) and the use of a spare 50cc. scooter that you will use daily to go to town to babysit and to go around the island in your free time.
We also offer the possibility to invite a girlfriend of yours (one at a time please) to come and stay as your guest: if your guest is happy to help out in any way at the farmhouse, it will be much appreciated :)
We will also offer a salary/pocket money: we will make every effort not to disappoint you and make you feel at home :-)
The au pair girl should be mature, reliable, honest and flexible, someone who loves caring and playing with children, with a driving licence (for riding the scooter) and speak at least a little Italian and possibly some German too. She should also be familiar with rural/wild life, happy to live in an isolated area, put up with the inconveniences of rural life, hot climate, bugs, muddy (when it rains) and bumpy country paths and not scared of dogs and insects.
For most period in the summer all you will have to do is to collect the child from kindergarden in the afternoon and care for her until we return (6 days a week). Most of the days you'll have free time in the mornings.
We will prefer applicants who will be also available for the same period in 2011.
